What exactly is law of attraction goal setting?

The term just on it’s own makes no sense. Does it mean using the law of attraction principles to set and achieve your goals?

Basically, law of attraction goal setting means aligning your energy with your desires and then making a plan to achieve them.

At least that’s what I understand it as.

One of the miracles that occurs during your goal achieving journey is you grow.

You extend the elastic band and move forward. You learn things along the way that move you forward from where you were just a few days ago.

Learning something new each day will do wonders in your endeavors to get to where you want to be in life.

When you learn something new, that elastic band stretches and you’ve just got away from the place you were stuck. Make sense?

People who have been on a goal achieving journey and don’t make it will say they failed. Yes, they failed to reach their goal but they still learned something.

Many quit for good which is sad. When you pick yourself up and go again, you’ve already moved yourself a certain distance down the track. Think about that for the moment. That’s crucial. So let’s look at the six steps needed to achieve your goal.

Define Your Goal

Can you even name your goal? Is it just an idea or have you got it clearly defined?

One of the biggest problems for many people is they just don’t have a clearly defined target. The reason for this is that they have too many things going on in their minds.

In other words, pick one and go for it. We want to achieve a lot of things in our lives but you have to understand that taking on too many tasks at once will only lead to procrastination.

Define Your Steps

Now you have clearly defined your goal you need to set the GPS and define the steps you’ll need to get there.

I love this area of goal setting simply because by setting your steps, you’re actually setting smaller goals to get to the big one.

Setting small goals and achieving them on the way to the big goal is vital. Each one you reach and complete will give you a sense of achievement and the fuel fill up you need to get you to the next leg of your journey.

Define A Time And Date

You have your end goal, your steps and now you need to declare when you’re going to start.

A great way to make this official is to put up several notices around your home with the start date clearly marked. Make sure you do this. A goal can never be reached without a starting point.

Law of attraction goal setting demands that you marry action with your desire. So name the date, declare it by making it visible on paper and commit to it.

Adapt Your Routine

What’s your current routine? Will it be conducive to reaching your target? For example, if you are on a fitness challenge and training for a marathon, then certain criteria in your life needs to change.

If you workout in the morning then late nights are out. Your diet needs to adapt so fast food has to be reduced to an absolute minimum. Once your routine is set you stick to it. No interruptions unless it’s an emergency. Follow the plan.

If you go into this stage half-hearted, you may as not even start the journey.

Organize Your Outriders

You aren’t seriously thinking of doing this without any help? Unless you are extremely disciplined and self-motivated, you’ll need to have at least one outrider.

By outrider, I simply mean who’s your accountability partner? Who will you report to daily with your list of to-do’s? Who will you go over your plan with on a daily and weekly basis.

Don’t be intimidated by this. An outrider is someone who will help you stay on track and encourage you to keep going. They will also be honest and let you know why you’re doing this but most importantly, be your conscious.

It could be your sibling, friend or neighbor – anyone you trust. But if you really want to give yourself the best chance of reaching each goal along the way, try and choose someone you respect and fear.

This person is someone you respect so much and care what they think about you, that you’ll do everything in your power not to let them down.

Do you know anyone like that? A former teacher, your dad, football coach or someone you’ve met and want to be like. This is your call. But make sure you have a fear of looking bad in their eyes. This is powerful.

Tools And Strategy

What tools are you going to use?

What is your strategy?

I don’t know what your goal is and what area it’s in but there will be tools you’ll need.

If you work online and have a goal to build a website making $1000 a month within twelve months, then you’ll need certain tools to make it happen.

You’ll also need a strategy.

Build the site, promote it – SEO or paid traffic, hosting and domain coats, autoresponder, content – all this is part of your tools and strategy.

Final Goal Setting Tip

Your law of attraction goal setting plan is now a reality. You’re feeling good about yourself except for one thing – you need to do it.

All the above is useless and worthless unless you add the one ingredient to make it work – action.

You’ve set a start date which is good. Without it then this would always be just a good idea. Taking action is up to you.

One of the best ways to get into action mode is to define what your motivation is. Do you know your motivation?

A friend of mine once let me know his motivation to build an online business was his family. He said he imagined himself at sixty five years of age.

He is meeting with his family in his kitchen, letting them know he has to keep working. The reason? He tells them he doesn’t have enough financial resources to provide for them.

The juice was when he imagined the disappointed look on their faces. He had let them down. That’s something he couldn’t handle and it lit a fire underneath him to succeed.

The magic potion here is he felt it and it scared the you know what out of him. He was forty seven at the time and within five years, was financially free.

Do you have motivation like that? Remember, whatever it is, feel it. Really feel it.

What started out as an intention to fix my own problems, has turned into a mission to share my research with as many people as possible. I’m betting life has thrown you lemons. We've all tasted the same lemons but the key to overcoming the sour tasting result, is to look at failure and give it the middle finger. Maybe my pain can be your gain in whatever area of life you're looking to improve in.
