Law Of Attraction Affirmations – What’s An Affirmation And How Do I Use It?

Law of attraction affirmations are somewhat misunderstood.

What are they? The short answers, an affirmation is a statement targeting a particular area of your life you want to improve.

For example, if it’s your finances you want to improve, then a money affirmation would look like this – “money is my friend and it comes to me easily”.

Or maybe you are wanting a specific job. Your affirmation may sound something like this – “Mr. Jones from XYZ company is impressed with my skills and will call me tomorrow at 3pm”.

How about in the area of relationships? An affirmation might go something like this – “my dream girl has long brown hair with blue eyes and she is searching for me now”.

They are just quick examples and need some adjusting. But because you’re here asking the question – what are law of attraction affirmations – these examples will give you a good idea.

The truth is, there is no set time to use law of attraction affirmations.

I recommend you use them continually throughout the day. When you’re alone, repeat them out loud.

As soon as you wake up in the morning start reciting your affirmations.

For example, a great affirmation to start your day is – “something good is going to happen to me today”.

I suggest saying this several times. Then follow with your other affirmations.

During the day, keep repeating ”something good is going to happen to me today”. You can follow it up with “something good is going to happen through me today”.

These are powerful affirmations and are designed to keep negative feelings at bay.

Three to four times a day, when you have several minutes alone, take your main list of affirmations and recite them.

Here’s a crash course in how to recite affirmations for great effect.

  • Sit down and take several deep breaths.
  • If you can, sit down in front of a mirror or a mirrored door.
  • Recite your affirmations saying each one up to five times.
  • As you’re saying them, really feel them. Imagine yourself living the affirmation.
  • Relax after each time you say an affirmation and simply adsorb and feel it.

Feeling your affirmations is so important. Too many people forget the importance of this and just say them without much effort.

When people do this, it means they are treating them as a chore. Usually they are rushed but the worst thing you can do is just say the words for the sake of saying them.

Never treat repeating affirmations as a chore. They are your weapon to achieving your dreams.

How Many Times A Day Should You Practice Positive Affirmations?

There’s no set rule on this. The more you can repeat them with feeling during the day the better.

Dr. Melanie Barton, LCSW, Ed.D says she has her students repeat them at least three times a day. But more importantly, she has them repeating them in front of a mirror.

“What I have people do, especially those that have feelings of low self esteem is, we come up with 10 positive statements together”.

“And they must be written in positive language, not negative”.

“And then I have them repeat them out loud three times a day into a mirror”.

“The reason I do this is because it’s important for them to see themselves doing it”.

“Usually when they first do it they’re so embarrassed or there’s tears because they think – ‘I don’t believe this. I don’t know why I’m doing this’?”

“I tell them, ‘keep doing it, keep doing it’.”

“And the more that they do it, whenever a negative happens in their life, they’ve already got that imprint in their brain of those 10 positive things which wipes out any negative thoughts”.

Repeating affirmations three times a day is doable for everyone. The key is, how bad do you want what you desire?

If you want it bad, then you’ll find the time to affirm your statements.

It’s important you’re alone because you can shake off any inhibitions. This will allow you to not only recite your affirmations but to also absorb and feel them.
